If Nevada is known for one thing, it’s appetite. Visitors come from far and wide to indulge in the high life, whether they have a craving for gambling, relaxing, or eating. No restaurants better showcase Nevada’s penchant for catering to big appetites than the following spots, all of which have humongous, Nevada-sized food options. Stomachs, beware: These food feats are not for the faint of heart!
Windy City Beef n’ Dogs has two Nevada locations, one in Lake Mead and the other in Las Vegas. Big food eaters simply must try the Sears Tower Challenge. Consume a 7.2-pound beef and sausage combo with cheese, hot and sweet peppers and a bag of fries in 30 minutes or less to win.
The Pioneer Saloon of Goodsprings, Nevada has two things that make it famous. First, it is the saloon that actor Clark Gable drank in “after he received word of the death of his beautiful wife, Carole Lombard,” according to their website. And two, it is the home of the 22-ounce porterhouse steak, served with choice of two sides and full salad bar for a cool $59.95.
PT’s Taverns in Las Vegas, Nevada serves a little bit of everything. It’s a good thing, too, because your friends and family might want to eat something while you take on their massive wings challenge. The yearly $4,000 Carolina Reaper wing-eating challenge is held on National Chicken Wing Day.
